Voicing the Hymns – A Free Download!

I am stepping way out of my comfort zone today.

Some days I get such incredibly strong, clear guidance that it rocks my whole body. It’s a physical response that leaves me shaken and often tearful – not sad, but slightly overwhelmed. Today, I got guidance like this. I know with crystal clarity that I needed to give away Hymns to the Bliss Body for free.

If you’re not familiar with Hymns to the Bliss Body, it is a collection of 20 prose poems written with the intention to evoke the body. They were written to connect you to the sacred potential that exists within you at a cellular level to experience passion, pleasure, bliss, desire, ecstasy, vulnerability, tenderness and more. They were written as intimate expressions of the embodied feminine experience.

Everyone who has read these poems has felt connected to their bliss body. And the guidance I received this morning was that I need to share this far and wide. This can’t be a small offering hidden away in a virtual corner of the internet. It needs to be shared with as many women as possible. And, quite honestly, this scares the shit out of me. Not least because there was a second piece of guidance…

Last year, a beautiful friend of mine who works with sacred ceremony suggested to me that I record Hymns to the Bliss Body so that they could feature in the soundscape of her ceremonies. I initially agreed, and then totally chickened out. And then I got cross with myself, breathed through it, and created recordings for each one of the poems. While I wrestle regularly with my inner critic, even I can admit that these recordings are beautiful.

But they left me feeling really vulnerable, so I didn’t share them with my friend. I didn’t share them with anyone. Can you guess what the second piece of guidance was?
